Ximena

Hello, my name is Ximena

I am a movement researcher, dancer, and certified body therapist in the Ilan Lev Method.

My story and my work

A few years ago, I understood that movement is and always will be a safe space for me; a support for my emotional processes, a way of expression, and one of the best ways to transform pain ( both physical and emotional).

I learned that giving my body a wide range of movement possibilities also gives me a wide range of possibilities in the way I live my life, because it's through my body that I inhabit this world. Movement gives me space to allow whatever I'm experiencing, without trying to change, correct, or fix anything, but simply giving space to being.

I finished my degree in contemporary dance in 2021. That same year, Yin Yoga came into my life, offering a gentler practice that was more in tune with my body's capabilities at that time, I became a certified instructor. In 2023, I completed the basic course of the Ilan Lev Method, that same year I began offering treatments. In 2024, I graduated from the advanced course, taught by the method's creator, and in 2025, I completed my movement teacher training, thus achieving my certification in the method.

Today I mix tools from the Ilan Lev Method, yoga, and free-flowing dance to support others, because I deeply believe that healing is a process that happens in community. I enjoy working with others, creating safe spaces where we can explore and share the processes our bodies undergo, through movement, without judgment or expectations. My approach doesn't seek to impose a set of steps, but rather to offer tools for listening to the body and its own wisdom, cultivating a loving and caring relationship with the body, and thus walking a lighter, more present, and loving path, allowing this to resonate with the world around us.
